Nu stiu ce spera totusi Bush de la Putin. Baze militare cat mai aproape de mirosul de petrol sau birouri CIA in vama Chinei?

“I’ve worked very hard to convince Vladimir Putin that it is in his interest to adopt Western-style values and universal values — rule of law, freedom of religion, the right to people to assemble, political parties, free press,” Bush said during a question-and-answer session after a speech on Iraq.
Russia, which opposed the Iraq invasion, suspects the U.S. policy of promoting global democracy is an attempt to establish itself as the dominant power in the region of former Soviet states.

Funny:

“Nobody is saying to Russia, ‘You must look like the United States of America.’ But we are saying there’s just some basic institutions that ought to be adopted. And I will continue making that case,” he said.
The U.S. president said it was in their interest for him to be in the position “where I’m able to walk into the room with the president of Russia and him not throw me out.”
