Poor, poor, 3 times poor customer support at Bluehost.com. I did not have any problem in 6 months. Today (night in USA) all my websites hosted at bluehost.com gave me: “This Account Has Exceeded Its CPU Quota”. With no reason at all. No changes in months! No big changes in my servers traffic. Nada! 10 hours waiting for an answer from Bluehost. They did in the end. They did send me a note like this:

Dear Customer,
Please check your error logs for more help on this issue.
If you have any further questions please let us know.

I was like: “Geeeeee guys! Thanks! You’re the best! Very helpfull indeed! Please allow me to wax your car, sir, please, sir! I’ll grow tits and also streap for you!”.
I looked down into my error logs. Found errors. Of course :). But nothing much. NOTHING able to stop my account. Small traffic. cPanel showed a 3.43 (4 cpus) server load. Nothing on RED Light. Everything greeeeen .. aaall the way … except my websites. Cute.

Step 2? Yes .. you’re smart! 4 hours of hosting research, compare prices, compare offers, dedicated, VPS, VDS .. except share-server accounts. A plus was live chat support! I purchased a VPS in the end and I hope I’ll move soon.

Asa ca dragi prieteni si cititori, si care mai sunteti innebuniti dupa bluehost si dreamhost … aveti grija. Abia ce ii spuneam acum cateva luni lui Alex despre ce se poate intampla pe un sharehosting si uite ca mi s-a intamplat mie fara sa fac nimic. :)

Cateva sute de persoane s-au abonat si citesc eCostin.com folosind un rss reader (ex: Google Reader sau Bloglines) ori pur si simplu pe e-mail, aici! Tu ce astepti? Cerere'n scris? :)

  1. Destul de ciudat pentru Bluehost ca ti-au raspuns dupa atatea ore la mail si mai ales ca domeniul tau a fost picat cateva ore bune … dar nu cred ca mutarea pe VPS este o solutie pentru toti. Eu personal orice mail am trimis catre suport nu a durat mai mult de 15 min. pana am primit un raspuns si o rezolvare a problemei. Din cate am vazut Bluehost este cotata ca fiind a doua companie de webhosting dupa liderul Yahoo!
    Btw … sh3lls are uptime mai mare ca bluehost :))

  2. Nu o fi pentru toti dar pentru mine este. Eu nu stau sa ma cert cu nimeni. Sa isi coteze ce vor si pe unde vor atat timp cat nu ma afecteaza.
